Traveling with Pets Five things to be sure to do
I miss my “road dog” Ellie. A Boston named after Ellie from UP! she was always ready for our next adventure. If you are you planning a road trip soon, and know they like time in the car, include your furry friend in the fun! Here are some tips for keeping your pooch safe and comfortable on the open road.
- Ensure your pet is up-to-date on all vaccinations and has a health certificate from your veterinarian
- Pack enough food and water for the trip, plus a little extra in case of delays or emergencies
- Bring your pet’s bed, toys, and other familiar items to help them feel comfortable in new surroundings.
- Plan for potty breaks – designate specific spots outdoors where your pet can relieve themselves, and pack plenty of poop bags.
- Take time to relax and enjoy the journey – it’s just as exciting for your pet as it is for you!
What type of dog do you have? Let me know in the comments. I hope you enjoy your trip.
